Thank you, Anonymous Nerdfighter.

You made me smile a lot today. Above is a picture of a note I found in my copy of "Paper Towns" (well, technically it's my sister's, since she bought it through Amazon.com).

It's a simple note, but it made me happy today - and I've had a tiring day! The note says, "Reading this book will decrease World Suck. Nerdfighters.com."

You see, this note made me super-duper happy because I live in Malaysia, where it's kinda difficult to find another Nerdfighter - there's a Facebook page for Malaysian Nerdfighters, and that's pretty much it. Maybe it's just that I haven't managed to find a Malaysian Nerdfighter yet....

Anyway, whatever it is - I wasn't expecting to get a Nerdfighter note since my sister bought it online (as mentioned earlier). I thought it's only possible to get these notes in library books or in books purchased directly from a bookstore - not online - but clearly this isn't the case~ :D

I was leafing through the book since the upper corner or the pages were kinda folded (and I disliked that, D: ), so while I unfolded the corners, I flipped through the pages - and I found the green note! I immediately smiled~

I was reading the book after my 3-hour class - which started at 8am, on MONDAY! - so I was kinda tired and sleepy, and I still had another four hours of classes later that day. I was feeling rather unenthusiastic about going to class (chemistry, then maths), so needless to say, the note cheered me up A LOT.

So, thank you, Anonymous Nerdfighter who posted that note in one of the many copies of John Green's Paper Towns. You've made me smile and you're the reason I managed to survived my Monday classes. :D

Now Imma go read the book before continuing my chemistry revision (I just finished revising the haloalkanes topic - next up: alcohols and carbonyl compunds! What fun~! xD)

NERDFIGHTERS FTW!!
*insert Nerdfighters' gang-sign here*

  1. Did you post about the note at nerfighters.com?

It'd be really nice if the sender actually sees that his/her note helped made your day.

  3. Hey, I am a Malaysian nerdfighter too. Though maybe not the dyed-in-the-wool kind. Nice to stumble upon you.
