first: something nerdtastic; second: something creepy

1. Nerdtastic

I LOLed hard at this. Did you? xD;

Found it on Hank Green's tumblr.

2. Creepy

This Man.

CREEPY, I TELL YOU. I got chills when I read about it, and I was surfing the net late at night.

So this is basically what This Man is:

In January 2006, a patient in New York told her psychiatrist that she often dreamt of a man who would give her advice on personal life. This patient later managed to draw a picture of this man (that's what she called the man in her dreams) and gave it to her psychiatrist.

The portrait lay forgotten on the patient's psychiatrist's desk for a few days until another different patient saw it. He told the same psychiatrist that he, too, had often seen this man in his dream. He referred to the guy as This Man.

Intrigued, the psychiatrist distributed the picture to her colleagues who were working on patients with recurring dreams. Later, four patients admitted that they have seen This Man before in their dreams, but none of the four patients knew who he was, and none of the four patients were related to each other in any way.

Now, around 2,000 people from around the world had admitted that they've seen This Man in their dreams. Nothing connects these 2,000 people to each other except for This Man.

O_o

I'm creeped out, aren't you?

Idk if this is some hoax or anything, but nonetheless, I'M CREEPED OUT. SUPER CREEPED OUT.

Google it, the picture of This Man is somewhere there.

Thank you, Anonymous Nerdfighter.

You made me smile a lot today. Above is a picture of a note I found in my copy of "Paper Towns" (well, technically it's my sister's, since she bought it through Amazon.com).

It's a simple note, but it made me happy today - and I've had a tiring day! The note says, "Reading this book will decrease World Suck. Nerdfighters.com."

You see, this note made me super-duper happy because I live in Malaysia, where it's kinda difficult to find another Nerdfighter - there's a Facebook page for Malaysian Nerdfighters, and that's pretty much it. Maybe it's just that I haven't managed to find a Malaysian Nerdfighter yet....

Anyway, whatever it is - I wasn't expecting to get a Nerdfighter note since my sister bought it online (as mentioned earlier). I thought it's only possible to get these notes in library books or in books purchased directly from a bookstore - not online - but clearly this isn't the case~ :D

I was leafing through the book since the upper corner or the pages were kinda folded (and I disliked that, D: ), so while I unfolded the corners, I flipped through the pages - and I found the green note! I immediately smiled~

I was reading the book after my 3-hour class - which started at 8am, on MONDAY! - so I was kinda tired and sleepy, and I still had another four hours of classes later that day. I was feeling rather unenthusiastic about going to class (chemistry, then maths), so needless to say, the note cheered me up A LOT.

So, thank you, Anonymous Nerdfighter who posted that note in one of the many copies of John Green's Paper Towns. You've made me smile and you're the reason I managed to survived my Monday classes. :D

Now Imma go read the book before continuing my chemistry revision (I just finished revising the haloalkanes topic - next up: alcohols and carbonyl compunds! What fun~! xD)

NERDFIGHTERS FTW!!
*insert Nerdfighters' gang-sign here*
